Due to the increasing heat, reclaim water usage may exceed daily wastewater flows. During this time, daily outages may occur to allow tanks to refill. Currently, the reclaim water system is operational from 5:00 pm till 10:00 am. If you are in need of irrigation work please schedule it during this operational period.
Please ensure that you are watering efficiently. The key to watering your grass is to apply enough water to soak down to the depth of the roots. The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) recommends the application of 1/2" to 3/4" of water per watering session. Most lawns need 1" of water per week either from rain or watering. This amount may be divided into two waterings per week. Overwatering is just as bad for your lawn as underwatering.
Reclaim water supply is limited to the amount of wastewater treated daily. Efficient use of reclaim water will ensure all residents have access to it.
